The Harmony Unleashed Saga: Bright + Butter is an upcoming romantic comedy-drama web television miniseries developed for HCN+ and Netflix by Aaron Montalvo, Stephen Levinson and Joanna Lewis & Kristine Songco. It is the fourth live-action series from the Harmony Unleashed saga, the third to be for a streaming service, and the first to be on HCN+.
It ties in with the Humanitarian storyline that intertwines with the Pony-Human Alliance and will connect to Harmony Unleashed: Humanitarian Brotherhood of Love. As the Apple Family's search for their parents resumes as they found out that they are still alive within the sources about how Pear Butter and Bright Mac became lovers and how the vacation flight led to them being lost in an island.
The series is executive produced by Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson, as well as Applejack's voice actress Ashleigh Ball being an executive producer and Michelle McLaren is also the executive producer, as well as the series' director and showrunner. McLaren directs all episodes.
It is set to be released on September 4, 2020 on HCN+ with two episodes released every week.
Cast
- Jake Weary as Applejack, an Apple family member, one of the Mane Six, and Twilight Sparkle's fiancee and "one of the nine" best friends. Like in MLP:FiM, he's the younger son of Pear Butter and Bright Mac.
- Garrett Hedlund as Big Macintosh, an Apple family member and Applejack and Apple Bloom's older brother.
- Peyton List as Apple Bloom, an Apple family member and one of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. She's Applejack and Big Macintosh's younger sister.
- Betty White as Granny Smith, an elder Apple family matriarch and grandmother of Applejack, Big Macintosh and Apple Bloom.
- Mark Wahlberg as Bright Macintosh, a presumed-dead father of Applejack
- Laura Haddock as Pear "Buttercup" Butter, Applejack's mother and Bright Macintosh's husband, who got together with him even if she's a Pear, who the Apple ones were rivals.

- William Shatner as Grand Pear
- Brenna O'Brien as Twilight Sparkle
- Stephen Amell as Shining Armor
- Will Ferrell as Night Light Sparkle
- Ferrell will stay in the series as Night Light even if Gary Sanchez won't be involved after the Ferrell-McKay partnership separation.
